Looking forward to reading a review by a working climber who has used this saw daily on large trees for at least 6 months, any other type of review will be worthless.

yes i see its there but nowhere on the website does it say it been released. check all their latest news etc etc..nothing.

 

Question is how you define "release"...

 

Husqvarna has "launched" the saw, and someone has won a saw Fastest climbers scurry to pole positions at APF

 

Live presentations of the T 540 XP® were given in the main Poleclimbing and on the demonstration site. A prize draw was held for the show duration and one winner was chosen on random selection. He has become the first owner in the UK of the model.

 

So some climber somewhere in the UK actually has the saw in his hand.

But whether it is available for sale in the shops is another question.

But if Husqvarna wants to avoid having their resellers inundated with calls about the new product, they could choose to put some availability and pricing information on their website.

Dont seem to be able to find the T540xp on any of the Husky web sites now.

I suspect one (from the US) will turn on ebay next month! No-one will notice it because it'll be listed as new unused stick and branch cutting device - for small bits and under some obscure catagory. Will sell for less than £200. My prediction

I've found the saw on a UK website for £539 Husqvarna T540 Top Handled Petrol Chainsaw via google shopping search, noone else seems to have it yet but hopefully wont be too long
