Ladder or not?

Pole saws should be banned..... I've never seen a good pruning cut with one......... completely shag trees.

ladders to get in. i'm sure some folk have worked off them, i have. go up nip a small limb off customer is happy. i've A framed trhem then used the telescopic power pruner....not smart and not clever

Only ever use step ladder for hedges to weak to climb, but never use ladders for tree work.

Yeah, i have a 36ft ladder, a great bit of kit, mainly used for access but great for large conifers and also (when tied) to nip off a quick limb, rather than get a high tie in point and limb walk....always attached to the tree when cutting though

you're not going to beat a ladder for access on some trees, hairy limes for instance.....very hard to get a throwline up some of them.
