Building reclaim timber/firewood staffs/shrops border

I work for a small building firm and we have a quantity of timber remaining from the renovation and redevelopment of a large farmhouse

 

 

 

 

For reference the board in the lower right is 6x4'

 

Basically we need rid of this timber and are looking to sell it wholesale, it mostly consists of construction joists, floor boards, door frames etc and as such is full of nails

 

There is good access and plenty of space and would ideally suit someone with some kind of large pto table saw with a tct blade

 

Location is ST20 and is between Stafford and penkridge.

 

With regards to price, please make me an offer, I'm obviously not expecting anywhere

near firewood prices per cu m, but I think it's worth more than a hundred quid. I would accept some kind of p/x on a saw, stihl only

Ditto, been instructed by the client not to burn it though

 

The client had intended to saw it up for his own firewood, but on a fully insulated property with modern underfloor heating this pile would last you several lifetimes. Plus I think it's a bit much for his ms170

As reclaimed timber i would guess it as been treated/painted, in which case i would not burn it indoors as it will give off some real nasty fumes.

Totally illegal to sell it for domestic firewood and can only legally be burnt in a Waste Incineration Directive approved plant. Also illegal to burn it where it is as it is contaminated timber. If it was me I would have taken it to the local community bonfire night celebrations when the environment agency turn a blind eye.

You would have to pay me to take that pile away! You shouldn't be burning that stuff as firewood. It will give off noxious fumes when burned especially if its old painted wood.

Get someone in to remove it professionally!

Although it shouldn't be burnt, you will probably get some mugs willing to pay you a few quid to take away an estate car full

 

If you were local I would come an have a rake through for any timber for future building projects
