just looked at advertising your buissness on yell.com. You can get free advertisng in yellow pages , on yell.com and on 118 24 7. Seems to be free and easy to do, does anyone else use it or have you done it?

 

seems there must be a catch. Nothings for free.

Yeah... The catch is that as soon as they have your details you will be approached for a bigger ad in the Yellow Pages and an enhanced ad on yell.com

They rang me 4 weeks ago and i said no. Eventually I said ok send me a pack and I'll sign it and send it back.

 

They rang me a week later after I'd binned the pack without opening it.

 

I told them I didn't receive it and could they send me another.

Dont say that, i've just paid for an ad in there. Never thought i would but as a last resort with work so bad at the present, i thought it'd be a good idea. Cost me just under £600.00 for a 6x6colour ad

What would you guys consider a better form of advertising than paper ads? Is there anything that you'd recommend that's tried and tested other than the obvious word of mouth.

I have a top secret form of advertising that can be seen from my website lol I agree print is dead.

 

Yell.com can be very good i'd pay the 3-400 it costs to get a linked ad on there but of course you need a website and a good one for that to work well.

We have a website and adveritse in a reputable newspaper.The newspaper is for the older folk and the website for the younger generation.However its common for people to Email us enquiries after seeing the Add in the paper.
