Can you just put that thru your chipper should allways be met with the reply " Can i just nip into town in your car" usually they say no so you dont need to reply.

We were once on a job, chipping on a shared drive. The other property sharing the drive had some builders working. One of the builders asked;

"will that thing take a brick?":scared1::scared1:

Taking rope out of a Lime tree, standing there in harness with branches all over floor and a bloke came over and asked me if I was strimming!?!:ohmy:

Public would always come up when your doing a really tricky light reduction/ target prune and ask "your not taking that tree down are you?" As you wobble on a branch tip with a flippin' silky in hand!

"right then that will be xx amount to prune your eucalyptus"

"yeah i'll go with that, how will you prune the top bits? with long loppers?"

"I'ts 45 foot high! We will have to climb it"

"surely it would be easier with some big loppers?"

:bash:

the 'branch' was basically half of a massive Horse Chestnut tree i was removing a broken limb from... i was thinking you wouldn't even notice if i took £30's worth off.

The garage workers working a few doors up from us were saying the usual 'cut it at the bottom' and 'take off the top to about 6ft' har ha!
