I've not been doing this too long yet for the one liners to really grate. Some of the common ones seem to be the same as the rest of you. Apart from

 

"How low can you cut it?"

"can you dig around it and take it lower?"

 

Last one I offered some special chips that would cover it over nicely so that he wouldn't have to look at it. He said yes :-)

Went to do a quote the customer was cuckoo, the quote got excepted and she said hold on a minute. I waited and she come out with a cheque said here you go:confused1:. I said i haven't even done the work yet you shouldn't give out Money like that.

Certain people these days would have taken the cheque and ran.

 

Another one, Hot sunny day doing a conifier hedge and the customer comes out and says I'll be out for the rest of the day the house is open help yourselves to tea, coffee, sarny. Oh and also sit down in the front room its really cool and shady in there. The whole house would be full of conifier the dry stuff that chaffes everywhere.

I turned around and said no thanks for the offer i would preffer if you lock everything up.
