I would not tumble dry them

 

Also, whilst on the subject of cleaning trousers. I clean mine very occasionly, i find they start to fall apart if you wash them to much.

noooooooo dont do it! a helpful house mate of mine once tumble dried a pair of my husky trousers! didnt end well!

4 or 5 times a year at a guess.

I wash mine once a month or so, never tumble dried. Did it to one pair and it wasn't a good look. I've always hung them over a chair infront of the wood burner, turn them inside out after a while if it needs to be done overnight.

I find if you leave them long enough the build up of chain oil gives a nice waterproof quality

Washing is fine. turn inside out and put somewhere warm and they will be dry in a matter of hours.
