Non-Protective Trousers

Has any got any information or experience of the Non Protective Climbing trousers? Looking at the SIPs or the Stretch Air ones. Worth a punt for rec climbing or pruning with the silky? If anyone that has got a pair could chime in, I'd appreciate the input.

Hear good things about the stretch air ones. Arborwear ones are very good.

I agree with that!! I got given a pair and they are ok, but for the money (I'm not sure what they cost??) I think you would be better off with some of the climbing trousers from outdoor equipment manufacturers. Mamut, mountain equipment, berghaus etc. they all make really good ones, and even though stretchair might be the best chainsaw trousers, those other companies have a far better pedigree when it comes to making clothing.

i wear the stretch airs, love em, and have no plans on moving on from them. they are very comfortable

i wear a pair of vented light trousers from g2 our door, i have had them nearly a year, wear them everyday, and then the gym.. Have washed them about 6 times. Awesome in summer with light boots when not cutting. very tough stuff and the fact you can zip open leg vents is great. £40 bargain

I like the snickers work pants. Lots of pockets and fairly loose so allow lots of movement. You can put knee pads in them too!

I think Tommy would prefere speedos Thats what plippy told me anyway
