Been a very very poor year.

Not just basing this on my business/personal opinions but also on friends and family that have also had a rough time of it.

Too many redundancies and 'forced' job changes to make it a good year.

Yes if we compare our lives to those that live in sub sahara africa we are all extremely lucky, but , well life aint like that so what we need to do is learn from the past and look forward to the future, its all we have.:thumbup1:

Good 2010, steady growth, lost some clients moving home etc gained some new ones. Always a bit tight financially, too many toys. Booked up now for Jan/Feb/March. Then all our gardening clients come back on board!

Still worry though, you never know whats round the corner.

Lets hope its a good one!

Husqvarna King all the best for 2011 and hope you get up a tree soon...

Been a funny year ripped ligaments in my shoulder in march so slowed me down a bit, started to go for different routes as I knew my main field of work was going to slow down due to lack of grants etc and it has paid off changed my truck and work seems to be coming in just have more doors opening and a broader client base.

Got engaged and then not ! had a couple of holidays have my health and a cracking new lady :001_tongue:

So 2011 who knows what it will bring but I am ready, flexible and not set in my ways and always looking for a niche

2010 was very good for us. As for 2011 so far its been good picked up a few more big customers and so far its looking good but I dont think I will hit my 6 month target of 135k. but I think the key is with every penny you earn is to use it well and make it last. there are plenty of ways to cut cost with out cutting saftey! As for finding new work on the slow days I spend all days ringing old customers and just have a chat with them and remind them that you still here. also I ask my wife to type up a really good letter/email (as i cant spell for crap) and sent/emailed all the people I think would use my service. I still think that there is loads of work out there but you have just got hold your head up high and go out there and find it becuase unless you spend £20k plus on ads etc.. they will not find you!

It was a pretty good year for us after a bit of a slow patch at the beginning. At least we kept working right up to Christmas this year and everyone is going mad for woodburning stoves round here so shifting logs has been no bother. Slow start for 2011 though - seems like people don't want to part with their cash.
