i keep basting mine in all the fat, i've been known to even add a little extra goose fat:blushing: but seems to work although constant basting takes ages to cook!

 

think the equation is 10-15mins per kg then an extra 60-90 mins depending on the oven

I got a 5 bird roast this xmas. Goose, Duck, Pheasant, Partridge and Woodcock. Going to be very nice just gotta shoot a goose next week and im sorted.

my ex girlfriend once cooked the turkey upside down by mistake.....it was the best turkey i've ever had!

 

in answer to the original question...i dont know as im round the parents for dinner this year but i hope its beef!

me having a 3 bird roast and maby a stake to go with it rather have the meet than the rubbish veg thats if i dont go to an all you can eat chinese

Traditional turkey for us but a three bird roast on boxing day when all the family come over.
