80 litre tank about 31-33 mpg. so far.

 

is that on the trip or calculated rich?

 

havent met anyone that has managed more than 28 yet,,, calculated not trip..

get 30,out off my d22,genral driving,towing takes it down to 25

are you all on the standard road tyres to get those figures im sure if you start using AT or MT tyres those mpg will drop by a good bit

i'm on General Grabber at2's and still get on average 30mpg.

 

i couldn't get above 28 before it was chipped!

Have a look on ebay at the "drakebox" tuning chip. £80 for more power and better consumtion. I did notice a decent return on a long motorway run on my 06 d40.

If that is a common rail box be very carefull when using them, as they have a habbit of sending the ecu into limp mode due to the ecu thinking it has a fuel leak. I have a DTE box on mine that has 4 different maps on it and 7 power settings per map. The dte box connects between the ecu and the injectors and not between the common rail sensor and the ecu.

Mine has gone into limp before when revved real high to about 4500rpm. Now i know what caused it:thumbup1:. I dont really spend much time at those revs so its only been the once but its good to know what caused it. I had an impending sense of doom when the light came on but it reverted to ok after turning off and re-starting.

Check out the new VW Amarock they do 600 miles per tank or so they say???...and starting at about 17 grand (again so they say) but nice looking motor and the reviews look good (new 4x4 competitor)

I had a new d22 best we got was 24 mpg . Some times people get the maths wrong and the speedos read 8 % over so you think you are getting more than you are.

look out with your insurance with chipping,,, and also your warranties,, it'll void insurance if you prang and havent told them,

 

and void warranty if they find it on there too..
