Does anything compare to Stretchair?

I've only been in the tree business for a couple of years and am still on my first pair of trousers (stretchair, type C). The time has come for a new pair and although I can't fault the Stretchairs I am wondering if they are worth £226! I've heard good things about the SIP type C. Can anyone recomend a worthy rival to the Stretchairs or are they actually worth the extra dosh?

I've tried many makes of chainsaw trousers over the years, and have yet to find any to wear as well as the Stretch-Airs. Eg. I bought a pair of Oregon Fiordlands earlier on for the summer, and thats about how long they lasted!! Now bearing in mind the price difference, and the average time my Stretches have lasted (qbout 2years), that makes the Oregons a very expensive buy!! I've now bought a new pair of Stretches, I dont care what they cost tbh, they are far better than any others. As for the SIPs, I recall they lasted about 7months, so dont even come in as a serious contender.

yeah i think the stretch air are worth every penny, so comfortable to climb in too - only prob for me is that when i wear a belt with them the flap at the back funnels all the sawdust down to my arse!!:001_tongue:

Husky you need the super deep Stretch air boxers to stop the chaffing
