The Narava's have dodgy engines

I've had 2 Navaras without any probs what so ever, Jap trucks win hands down on reliability! what i'd like is a Landcruiser commercial/pick-up..

I had a brand new td5 defender, and i'll never ever have another unless a Jap company fingers crossed buy them out, then i'd have one like a shot!

My dad has one of those new navara's best mpg he has got is 22mpg

Heck how the hell does he drive? i've got a fuel moniter on screen dashboard moniter gizmo, I can get 35 mpg long distance and 28 around town no probs.

I'll be swapping my Pathfinder in next year for another, so far the Pathfinder/Navara is the best truck i've ever owned, i'll go for automatic next time.

You might be lucky there mate, if you type "Navara conrod" in google youll find alot of unhappy people.

Happened to a friend of a friend at about 55,000 miles.

The Navara's are a nice looking truck though:001_tt1:

So far i have done 3500 miles in my 08 defender, I have to say i love it, my brother has a navara and its a great truck but it can only tow 2800kg, which for me was the deciding factor. The new defender pulls just as well as my old 2.8 power tourque 110 and having 6 gears means its better on fuel. It is nice to drive and so far it hasn't leaked. Its early days though.:001_smile:

No still got it, not had much luck selling it, its not that its a bad vehicle just that no one has been to see it, I am off on holiday for two weeks so i have not re advertised it, plus theres a wren nesting under the wheel arch.
