new splitter!

well the swapped up/down isnt an issue, coudlt it be a legal safety feature possibly? otherwise it would have been built down for down and up for up!

 

we will have to see how well it splits, theres a little pile already and my dad did it and said it worked well, ill have a go at the weekend and give a review

i doubt its a safety thing, it looks like a basic imported splitter so they are aimed at the private market, safety features dont really come into it with them, i had to go and fix one for a nieghbour the other day as they bought 1 similar, they had the hoses in the wrong services, swapeed them about, put the lever to a diferent position, job done.

It’s not a HSE requirement, those standards go way further than that but a lot of people pipe down for up as a basic safety precaution.

 

So if I understand you took delivery on the week end and it’s already busted?

 

Why are you fixing it and not sending it back as unfit for purpose?

If that's the case, then why do HSE apply prohibition notices to machines with single hand operation?

 

It's also a CE requirement.
