Hey guys im a student studying a FdSc in arboriculture and im currently doing a research project on global arboriculture so like the difference in practices of tree surgery and different regualtions from different countries. Im having some difficulty finding resource material and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction, maybe some good websites or books.

The level and standard of arboriculture around the world is directly proportional to the affluence of the country in question.

When I was at Merrist wood we had a really good lecture by Quentin Nichols of Abortrack. They have carried out surveying worldwide and would probably be good people to contact.

Health and safety would be a good start. Im sure some members from the usa would give you advice on where to look?? Also don't forget our traveling friends. They must have some up to date info as i've never seen some cuts they do? Maybe they were the pioneers for fracture pruning :confused1::lol:

i can tell you a hell of a lot about the safety on the rail clearance work in sweden if you are interested, its the only work out here i have come across that even mentions health and safety!
