Some photos from my phone. Apologies for the quality I really need to get my camera out again.

Lime reduction and reshape. I should really have brought those lower branches in a bit more after we crown raised it. It looked nicer before we crown raised it. Its come down quite a lot but I got rid of some thicker stems at the top to give a more natural look.

115m Hawthorn hedge reduction producing approximately 14 tonnes of chip and loads of fire wood.

A willow flea beetle ?

And 2 other arbtalk members in a Sweet Chestnut on thursday.:001_huh:

Planting job from today. Not on the same scale as Mr. Collins is involved in at the moment (thank Christ!).

The gap was created by a young lass who didn't make the bend in the ice!

20 Field Maple whips (acer campestre), manure, bonemeal, touch of formative pruning, hey presto! Gap filled.

As a bonus we even caught a little thief trying to lift some hand tools from the back of my truck.

Good day. Different. More planting ahead, I feel.

Also bought my Dad a sequoidendron giganteum whip for an Easter present. £3. Bargain!

Last pic is cool . Mr B
