Sorry, forgot to mention the spec was to leave the butt at 10' or thereabouts.

Building plot, and the contractor has to dig it out with a 360, and was keen to have a bit of leverage.

I bet I look like a right tosser now. Knocking off big lumps on spikes when I could have just flopped it over.

I'll be wearing my harness down the pub yet....

Some pics from my walk around a Cheshire Woodland . The small tree with the bark scratched off was near to the fallen tree with the badger hole ? . Well pressume badger as the tree was scratched pretty badly .Any way went back to the local chippy for some grub and was told fish chips £6.75 take out or £9.75 eat in WTF

i think that bark damage might be from deer, theyve even left some crap for you as a clue:001_smile:

Yesterdays job, spec was back to previous, bit harsh i reckon but what do i know! and fell the one nearest house. Took three fill ups to complete the reduction believe it or not! but I was making more cuts and making sure I had enough growth in place before finalising so probably reduced twice overall!:001_smile:

Across from the job on the green was this lovely young oak, what a tree it can be! and is. oh and our new motor, got loads of poke for a littleun, cabs a bit tight though!:sneaky2:
