cheers marc, thats exactly how we done it, some branches just didnt have any points to take it to so being Acer i wasnt really to concerned as it will come back like mad.

 

A lot of people say this but whenever I re reduce an acer there seems to be 3 or 4 inchs of dead from rounded off cuts before new shoots appear.

I did. I didn't like the CF Geckos at all, and lost 150 bucks on the deal. They don't wrap around the calf enough for me, and hurt.

What did it chip like?

 

the green stuff chipped ok, if you keep plenty of wood going through with the green its ok, but keep reversing the rollers and rake out the chewed up crap stuff and bin, the actual wood chipped beautifully:001_cool:
