Yea, the owl can find a new home. At least there weren't any chicks!

Here's a tree I topped/ probably killed. I imagine I'll be back in a couple years to finish the job. Topped the oak in the front yard, then removed three sweetgums from the back.

MasterBlaster, I love how you have so much space over there, great access, BIG trees, beautiful weather... I just spent a day dragging brash through a terrace house on a busy street with no parking  have you got any jobs going? :001_smile:

I pruned this Oak last year, i think from memory they had it down for a 25% reduction which would have left it in a right state. Instead I reduced all the leaders and gave it a general crown clean, came out looking quite nice.....picture not so great though

Looks well Steve and pruned just right, I hate seeing reductions with epicormic growth coming off the ends of pruning cuts

some pictures of what was a lovely old copper beach, it had a giant polypore all round its base on a previous inspection but the owner wouldn't have it removed (unfortunately didn't take any pictures of the polypore)

Just got back from the Portes du soleil, (french Alps) for a bit of boarding.

Couple of trees from the trip...

My mate improvising and taking out a couple of spruce for his mate (the chalet owner) No comment on the lack of this or that please, I wanted to show the scenery.

same mate on another tree... in the stash, a board park designed by burton and made entirely outta wood or tree trunks.

oh, and some proper pollards on the south shore or Lac Leman. (lake Geneva)

Couple of pics from this week:

1 and 2 are a reduction of an Acer negundo (same tree from different angles)

3 and 4 are before and after of a crown thin on a beech.

The lens on my phone was covered in dust so apologies for the quality.
