Just got round to flipping this video as I filmed part of it upside down... Nothing spectacular so didn't want to waste making a whole new thread for it.. I did post some pictures of the dismantle when we did it but this video captures the true beauty of the characteristics summer beech has to offer.

This section was 6ft long/tall and roughly 2ft in diameter, it was holding on a 4mm hinge right to the end. I had dropped my wedges in the previous cut so could only offer a little push to the groundy who was pulling on the tag line

Why not just make a 75% gob, you would probably not have even need the rope.

We needed the rope to stop the timber rolling into the iron fence below mate, could of made the gob bigger but this was the only piece we struggled with

A few pic from a couple of weeks ago. This Beech had honey fungus and Meripilus. Steve Walker came and climbed for me, and did a sterling job. .

All timber was disced up and left on site for the customer to split. The stem was left at gutter height. We'll be back to take that down once he has room for some more firewood.

This is not a job thread just a couple of pictures of some Leylandii that I walk past and marvel at sometimes. They are at the side of a house and a brook runs to the right of them. I can remember the houses being built and the trees being put in. I think there were three of them but they seem to have merged into one big one.
