Just to throw my pennyworth in I think is one of the Euonymus family, there are some small trees in this family. Could be E.alatus but think its to big for that, E.latifolius up to 4.5m high etc. But there again could be totally wrong awaiting your views with intrest

a mini forwarder david with a removable 6 inch chipper on it, 1 guy with a saw and one other sitting on his bum, less wages more fun:thumbup:

 

good try but nothing was allowed on site apart from the 6 inch chipper it was in method statement completed by ecology company. It does not matter what makes sense!!!!! I offered a low ground pressure 18inch tracked chipper, skyline etc but was no go. Manual graft 3 weeks, stems 12 to 18 inch in mud up to knees every day.
