Hondy Izy Wont Start

Hi

 

My izy wont start, it was working fine until it started back fireing on starting during the week and now it wont start at all. It is only 4 months old so will take it back to supplier but I was wondering if any one else has had problems

I have just had the same happen to mine

Take the plug out if it is black and sooty Change the plug and then put a new air filter in

It should work OK then

On the smaller Izzy you will need to change the air filter quite often

The air filters get dirty very quickly and it has the same effect as running it on half choke

might have something to do with the timming..

the older models were ohv.. the new ones are ohc with a crappy little rubber band belt for the cam shaft... and if the oils not changed on a regular basis, small bits of debris get caught in the cam belt, resulting in tooth jump or belt snapping:thumbdown:

or it could be the small decompresion cam faulty

Taken it in and the supplier said that they have had carb problems with some of the new izys. I have a 5 year old one as well and that has never let me down, why did honda have to make a change to what was a perfectly good mower.
