as a fan of chilean wine i have my fingers crossed for the rescue that is just starting..

 

can't imagine what those lads have been through,,,

 

 

prayers and thoughts to all in peril,,,

 

it's on the beeb now for the other dads doing the red-eye shift..

Apparently for the first 17 days the trapped miners didn't know if anyone knew they were there or even that anyone was looking for them. That must have been awful beyond words.

 

All credit to the Chilean authorities and engineers which have carried out (at least sofar) an absolutely text-book rescue, a brilliant job!

 

I understand that the only guy who doesn't want to come up is the one with a mistress and a wife waiting for him up top, neither of whom knew about the other beforehand! Perhaps he'd better stay underground! :blushing:

It's good to see them rescued! I wonder how long until the made for TV movie? I like the old man who mined 51 years. He said was was never stepping foot in a mine again.

 

Damn straight!
