Chipper rollers have moved

The rollers on my timberwolf 150 have moved slightly and the gap between them increased meaning that it doesn't pull in and grab branches as well as it should . is this a common problem and is it easily fixed?

Any advice appreciated.

I get that with the pto300h. Take the guards off round the rollers and clean it out. Just tends to e chip blocking them up. Give them a grease too

pop off the black plastic cover and have a look in the side of the roller casing, it often gets clogged up with bits. It helps to cut a little bit off the black cover to allow the 'bits' to fall out the casing rather than collect then get jammed

As above, accumulation of crap in the roller slides.

 

Take off cover, undo springs, lift roller block (make sure it is secured in upright position), good clean, grease up, drop block back down, WD40 on springs, back on, cover back on, good to go-go.

also check security of the two bolts holding each end of the roller in place, they can get loose..

very common problem with timberwolfs, its as said above bits of chip clogging up the sides near the springs. happens alot with conifer usually

Just put new roller bodies on a timberwolf (the bits that look like revolving blades) it's made an very old machine like new. Grabs it a treat. Do what the other guys said first, then only change the roller bodies if worn; they wear through the middle and will not grip anything under 15mm. This happens around 2000hrs. Change the springs if weak.

i have had 2 150's, they both suffered from this, on my new ne i cut a bit out of the black cover and it has cured it.

The bit you cut out will be on the hinge side of the plastic case,cut it so you have rounded corners or it will split in the cold with vibration etc.
