£50?!! Wow, thats a lot. I did get the choice of a complete single piece sole that would have to be ordered in and would take about 2 weeks for £30 or separate front, middle and heel pieces cut to the right shape and then glued on to look like one piece for £15 and only took a couple of days. I went for the quick cheap option so I'll just have to see how long it lasts. If I get 6 months out of it i'll be happy, if not then I'll go for the more expensive one next time.

they were a very good sole i had put on mine....i specifically asked for a tacky sole put on. the resulting boots were fantastic, best climbing boots ive ever hard, the soles would really grip when walking up near vertical limbs. down side is though the material was soft and wore down in about 4 months use

Maybe a poll n what boot you would not buy again may have been better

Interesting steve raves about airstreams been the best boot he has had and lasting 2 yrs to then say some stien will be his next

I love my airstreams:thumbup:

i like to try different things bob......and the new steins look very appealing. i love my petzl sequoia more than any other harness that is currently out.........but i probably wont buy another one.

i've always worn jalettes. really comfortable.

 

Was just the same for me, but Klima Air is the way forward. Just need to justify the massive price for "oversized" 13's:sneaky2:
