This is a pagan ritual celebrated over here aswell.

I built my own wickerman this year after seeing a pathetic attempt on top of an old Druid hill ( i'm a bit of a pyromaniac aswell ).

I have amazing photos with fire coming out the eyes and everything !

I like this thread. I've got a big one ready to go from a pine I wrecked out earlier this winter. Just have to wait till the venting index is ready to go. I'll try and remember to get pics.

No kidding, we have been building it with forwarded-in brash, pushing it up with a 973 track shovel and it is currently the size of a primary school!

Open Pine cones make amazing fire lighters , no fuel or chemical firelighters needed.

and a good heat is reached.
