Has anyone on the forum had any 1st hand experience of helicopter dismanaling in the UK?

Will they work in residential areas? What sort of rates per day (I'm expecting it to be thousands)? Where do you begin to find a helicopter and operator who are willing and experienced to take on the job?

PDG or Pennine Helis are the best bet, as for residential, unlikely they will get permission to do the work, you need to pay for relocating the whole ground crew about 3-4people, sort licensing with CAA reguarding landing sites and refuel areas, you will be looking at 10s of thousands,

They wont load carry over open public rights of way,

Oh also they have certain distance restrictions from communication masts so if there are phone masts in the immediate area it will be a consideration

Not a million miles away.

Training exercise perhaps.
