save your money and put it towards a saw thats capable of doing more work. ive got a 180 for carving the sunday roast and for bob to use when he works with me, he can't handle anything bigger:wave:

ok maybe... but a 361 with 325 chain and 14" bar will do it in a quarter of the time and an axe gives no shavings at all.

It wont be far behind your 361 slicing down rings along the grain with half the fuel and half the shavings. That's why I use it for that, I've tried the rest and the little 170 was nice and light and did it nearly as quick as a 441

No i just dont like it... i wouldnt use a 361 either as im a husky fella any way but it would be a bettere choice.

 

split a few today mate got the elbows and wrists to prove it..oh wait they where 45" but then im so so hard all i had to do was look at it and it split:wave:

id rather cut 14" depth cookies and split em in half takes 4 hits max if you hit em in the right places unless they are full of knots and then ill cut em down two thirds and then hit them with an axe thus still saving saw dust and clear up time

getting confused now its about a 180 not a 170 and earlier you said it does not give much sawdust on 1.3 guage chain if you have a 170 it should run on 1.1 and if that cut as fast as your 441 i would suggest sharpening your 441

and yes i do have a 170 i,m afraid to say and just to confuse even further mine runs on 1.3 which reduces the power even more This is an ideal saw for leaving in the shed and take a silky

I too use the 170/180 as a chipper trim/groundie saw. It get's the same chain as my 200t, and keeps the big saws sharp instead of letting the groundies run 'em.

Lol i had one it wasnt upto much really you might aswell buy sumthing like a 026 much better saw for the ground.

 

they remind me of them stihl toy chainsaws you can buy.
