I tend to wear my scarpas for pruning, and leave the zermatts for ground work and takedowns.

Alot of the lads round my way wear em, say they are well comfy, but that looks as bad as the boots.

Agreed, they do tear up thin barked trees unless you move real careful, but they are bad ass for spikes.

you wanna see what the pfanner tirol fighters do to bark when new!! once bed in though its only when they are new they seem to do that from my experiance with pfanner boots any way.

If I'm doing reduction work I normally wear some soft soled mammut walking boots but on a couple of occasions I have ended up wearing them for a couple of reductions, one sycamore and one silver birch and both badly damaged in tight forks.

 

There's no give in the sole at all.......however, I love them for connie bashing
