I woke up this morning feeling very depressed both about losing my timber and not confronting the culprit, so I was off up the woods first thing this morning, with advice from Hama and Mr. Bell swirling round my mind.

Luckily the 'Beast from the East' was still up there.

Cutting myself a whippy Hazel wand, I thrashed his bare legs to distract him, then sparked him with a handy length of Ash.

Timber recovered, national pride restored!

He's probably blubbing all the way back to Latvia now!

what amazes me is the awckward manner in which both rounds have been carried, there is far too much overhang at the rear end for me, I prefere the balance so that it rests on the shoulder and all the wieght is directed to the feet rather than tipped back unbalanced and compression forces applied to rear basal area of spine.

The beauty of these length of cords is that the hardest part of getting them out is getting them up, this long you just push em up on end lean in with your shoulder and up you tip em, sweet.

always looks impressive but wieght is easily carried on the shoulders.
