As far as Fridays oak is concerned great use of quality felling aids (saw and hatchet) don't know about Prussic on handle so it's a Seven

Yep I can see a gob has been cut but but the bottom cut of the hinge has gone in further than the face cut so it's turned into step cut. The Ralphy left over suggest it may of started out as the Danish pie cut but the tree had decided it had had enough by then and went over anyway :001_smile:

I can't...I have't got a clue what am doing:thumbdown:I'll leave it to the experts and I'll have ago on a large sycamore Friday. Or you can and I'll bring some score cards:thumbup:

You need to watch a couple of episodes of Strictly come dancing on catch up then you'll be up to speed :lol:

Ok felled my first proper tree today. Up till now it's been stumps and garden sized tree. Not as easy as it appears. About 30 degrees to the right of my target. But it was a safe area where ever it fell so was a good practice. You honest opinions gentlemen?

 

You won't see it on any training course that's for sure but round here we call that the gypsy cut!
