Thats not an "emergency rescue" the guy could have waited while a climber was brought to site from else where, so no real need to have a rescue climber on site:sneaky2:

 

Good point.

Either way it demonstrates how easy it is to understand why the aerial rescue requirement is seen as such an ass.

i was just looking at my new NPTC UA card and quite clearly it states that my certs are only valid for three years !!! so in 3 years time i assume i will be spending another £1500 on training that i have already done .

i've recently done the cs38 course, there was a chap on there whom got a "blue book" when he got his certification in the early nineties.

 

He's taking a young lad on so the college told him he has to do the cs38/39/40/41 etc
