I have the stein helmet i dont find it hot but have not used petzl much the only problem is the lining gets damp fells a bit strange have to keep ringing it out apart from that i think there great mabe you can replace liner .

they are good ..though i would get some sort of face protector if you just have the clear/ smoke visor. i use motorbike mask.

I was on the "too hot" band wagon but i've gonna say i've got used to it now and find it a pretty good lid. think i've had mine for nigh on a year i'm suprised how well its doing really.

got a stein on order, can't wait to see how it fares as i hate petzl so have always been stuck with husky
