Tree identification database

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, i'd like to ask for your aid in setting up a new section of the site dedicated to tree identification. This forum will just be the starting point, a way of collecting the required images which will ultimately be moved over to a dedicated webpage.

If you feel you have the time to help with this it would be most appreciated and of great benefit to all.

Please start a new thread for a tree you wish to focus on, include the full name in english and latin(if unsure feel free to post up with a question mark to await positive ID from another member). We'll be looking for as many pictures as possible of every feature of the tree, form, bark(young and mature), twigs, buds, leaves, flowers....and hopefully pictures taken from all seasons.

In the finished webpage(which will likely NEVER be finished), all pictures submitted will be watermarked with the arbtalk copyright image, and accredited to the member. By submitting pictures in this section you are agreeing to this condition.

I look forward to embarking on this huge task, and a big thanks in advance to all those who contribute :001_smile:

About

Arbtalk.co.uk is a hub for the arboriculture industry in the UK.
If you're just starting out and you need business, equipment, tech or training support you're in the right place.  If you've done it, made it, got a van load of oily t-shirts and have decided to give something back by sharing your knowledge or wisdom,  then you're welcome too.
If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
Please have a look around, sign up, share and contribute the best you have.

See you inside.
