Black does look cool but its not safe for a ground worker. One of my groundies wears black the other yellow, looking from above you can hardly see the black one at all, he also says its very hot in the sun. I went for white.

 

 

I do think the vents make a difference and are worth the extra couple of quid.

we have a at least 2 of every colour vents they do and will not buy another black one even though i have 2 black ones and think it looks nice would rather stand out than look nice

it is good if lads have different colours as you can easily tell which is which at a glance as some groundies behave different to others if you know what i mean especially new boys and nuppets

White, for me orange of others, i can see them, and it's easy to see who's in charge. Everyone else wears hi-viz on the ground and I will soon once I've worn out all my old black Hely Hansons.

 

I came to the conclusion last year one wet day, after coming out of a tree head to toe in black goretex with a black lid that I ought to be a bit brighter.. Being seen from the ground is an issue especially if you have several climbers and several groundies and using hand saws.. Also if roadside you do come to ground at some times of the day.
