This is getting beyond a joke

just dont answer the phone, simples. I only answer the phone if i know who is ringing, even then i sometimes dont lol, if someone leaves me a message then i call them back, on the landline answer machine i just press delete within the first 2 seconds and dont let it bother me.

i get loads recently ive been getting 20 odd calls a day. i just ignore it if i see its a 0800 etc numbers, does my head in, they never will get the message though

stick your phone on silent, mine has been for years, dont let it bother you, if a silly thing like a phonecall upsets or frustrates you then there is a bigger problem elsewhere i reckon, chill guys:001_cool:

I was told the swearing or racist comment thing is supposed to work because the call centres have a duty of care to their workers and if they receive abusive calls from a number that number is taken off the list.

Stevie. cant put the house phone on silent mate, and when you sit down to have your tea and every time you get the fork within an inch of your gob, the phone rings, it get really annoying, especailly when you get three calls in two minutes

 

 

I think the fast pace of today makes every minute you get to youself count and I dont get very many....but your right Stevie, I have a lot going on at the moment so am like a bear with a sore head to start with

If you annoy them you become thier victim. Something for them to play with to pass the time. I talk right over them give them a firm NO THANKS and hang up. That annoys them as they have paid for the call. If you want a bit of fun try ( thanks for calling the sales line I will take your order starting with the long no on your credit card )

I had one of them where they get their mate next to them to ring and laugh as their mate gets a bollocking and it goes round the call centre like that.

 

Only I had noted down the first callers name and googled the number, got the call centre address and when they rang again I asked for them to put me back onto Trevor, they did and I told him where he was and that if he thought it clever and funny he could see if it was funny when I meet him outside his office when he finishes his shift
