Mornin all, hope you're well!

If I may I'm seeking your views/comments regarding the ARB Show.

It is noticeable that there hasn't been the same 'buzz/banter', indeed if any at all, as there is with the Capel show.

Is this because it's too big (by comparison)?

Is it viewed as a trade/suppliers event rather than industry?

Is it because you have to pay for entry?

Is the beer too expensive (ha)?

Any and all comments / views would be greatly appreciated as we alwasy have a formal review meeting after and I sense there may be a need for change.

Many thanks all..

Paul

PS For those who are attending please be sure to give me a shout (I'm hoping to spend sometime with Steve at the 'Arbtalk' plot.

IMO the AA show lacks character,TBH it feels like another money grabbing venture the AA are so fond of, its a bit like Saltex, the APF and Capel Manor are by far the best two shows, I'll definitely be at the APF!

P.S shouldn't the AA be a registered company? using charity status doesn't fool anyone! sorry if I sound harsh, but this is what we all think...

I was going to go but I think a might give it a miss :confused1:

It sounds that if I do go I should bring along some sandwichs and warm beer:sneaky2:

Don’t give it a miss, make the effort and go for it – Loads of stuff to look at and if you do need some kit you may get a bargain!

I have been told the ground rent for retailers etc is pretty high, maybe that's not such a great idea especially in the current economic climate. I agree with the food/drink situation also, you have a captive market but that should not be a excuse to take advantage of the working man.

there wasnt enough to see or do last year, vermeer were the only ones demoing, but even then H&S gave them a telling off, it never really had a buzz, or seemed to get started, and a pain to find, i remember a distint lack of signage! . . justins show was better, more diverse, friendlier, more relaxed, informal-diddnt seem to be a closing time, camping, drinking, music, plenty of food, inc 1 free burger and pint! FREE ENTRY!!! and that was his 1st show!

this year i will be attending justins and the APF, even though theyre under a month apart, and in a diffrent country, theyre both worth going too!
