the plan was for a sun/bowl. the result was an octopus/ashtray. just a normal bar mate on my 020. whats the crack with carving bars? where can u get hold of them/what are they like to use and do you just run a normal chain on them?

carving bars are generaly smaller at the tip to reduce the kick, not used one but a guy I met with a few fingers missin told me that if you cant create anything with the bog standard kit then dont bother buyin a specialised bar.

As for chains i dunno i'v just bin usin a rippin chain on the husky at home.

good effort on the ash tray, try a leaf or owl next :)
