Download Atlas of Soil Biodiversity

found this atlas of soil biodicersity but struggling to download the whole thing, can do one page at a time but not the whole package?

does someone want to try to have a go at downloading the full atlas and not just pages and let me know if they've been successful?

seems like a handy document to have:thumbup:

Found this little fella settling down to over winter in a crotch. Not the best photos due to standing in a howling gale blowing of the mountain and being unable to hold the camera still.

Tree Weta I believe but only a young one. I've been trying to get a picture of a biggy for a while but I usually find them when I'm chogging down a tree and without my camera. The bigger ones are about the length of your hand and can give quite a nasty nip. I believe one species is the world's heaviest insect but I may be incorrect on that.

Out of all threads on this forum this is one i have found to be most inspiring....its all to easy (and indeed pleasurable) to walk with head up admiring all around....whether through woodlands, meadows, coast etc.......but get down low, look closer at things and you get a realisation about just how much goes on 'unseen'.....the insect world is indeed a fascinating and essential place.

One i found yesterday.

Bit late in the year for these fellas but nice to see them kicking around all the same. We sometimes get them in the house so they are released on the Lemon tree to go catch some nasties.

Found this little critter whilst inspecting some Oaks last week. Was only about 4 foot off the ground in some Ivy. Any ideas what it is? I asumed its a Tawny Owl

Did you leave it there? A lot of people wrongly assume that owl chicks have been abandoned when they find them in strange places and in "rescuing" them, they are actually seperating them from their parents.

Na I didn't rescue it. I made that mistake with a sloth once and had to share my house with it for the next 6 months. I'll dig out a photo of him later as he will fit right into this thread.
