Geoff, your posts deserve their own thread mate, im not complaining or anything, I adore your images, I just dont want them to be lost in what is becoming a very popular thread.

 

In fact I am starting to wonder if alongside our fungi directory we ought to be adding an entomology Gallery as many are important bap species, and just the other day we had a request to keep eyes peeled for the noble chaffer.

 

Yes, this idea has legs, many ha ha! what do you think Mr Bullman?

Heres another,the tiger striped caterpillar,this lives on ragwort amongst a few other plants,the toxins dont hurt it

 

Geoff,

The toxins not only do not hurt the caterpillar, it actively stores it in his body to become inedible to poisenous to predating birds.
