finito...

bit of a bulge in the last bit - crossover?

just gotta lockstitch now.

Its possible to remove bulges in the crossover by carefully working the core up along the rope a little bit. Beware though, its impossible to remove a flat spot though, so overdo it at your peril.

double braid went ok but would want a few more practice goes before i did a life line. had a bit of trouble getting my head around a couple of the instructions but got there in the end. the marlow double braid i did the dog lead with was easy to splice. :thumbup1:

I take it the tachyon would be a lot harder.?

Nice one mate, I reckon I'll be coming up your place for a lesson before long:thumbup1:

Should'nt you have been paunching instead of splicing today:001_tongue:

bugs are sorted mate... needed a bit of stress relief after the weekend of visitors.

stu is coming up this arvo to sort his scorch and skin a couple...

Yeah tachyons a tad harder!! haha. There's not many people like splicing it.

The marlow stuff that you had is great to practice on though, the cover on it is really baggy unlike tachyon.

Like i say if you bring your rope to the show and i'll show you how i do them...........if you can wait that long! haha

If you guys like at the AA show I'll put a pop up marque out the back of our stand for a splicing get together, let me know what you think and what you would need. Might be interesting for anyone new to splicing.
