buy the best you can afford or evan new ,a decent chipper is more important than a flash truck. timber wolf or green mech seem to be the proven and productive machines imo, really like the look of the new green mech.

the usual entec and timberwolf 5/6 inchers are pretty good.just take it easy with the deadwood and anything that reaches near capacity-save it for logs.

the vermeer 625s are pretty tough cookies in the diesel form, their just that bit heavier to tow than the 750kg entec/timberwolfs.

forgot the jensen, good machines! dont see many around here though.I would seriously consider buying new or one with minimal hours...there is nothing more frustrating than a chipper that will always be breaking down...older machines will all ways have metal fatigue, unbalanced components due to wear....i really regret not getting the best i could stretch too and making do with a headache for 4 years!could of paid for half a new machine in bearings and other parts not incuding time lost !

Blimey, Exenco. I can remember Jim Wilkie peddling them back in the 80's. Shocking peice of kit. I took one in px some years ago and sold it to a chap who wanted the best bit off it - the engine!

where abouts are you? see what dealers you have locally for each brand, reckon it's good for piece of mind if you an get to a dealer quickly for spares/ fixing etc etc.

had my little greenmech a few weeks now, performing beyond expectations..
