I had one for a year and a half and had no problems with it.

 

And the way it sucks air through means the air filter stays clear for a long time compared to other stihl saws. I'd buy another but as above if there was a choice I'd get the 660

The 441C/M is about £50 more expensive than a regular 441, and to me it looks like the only difference is the fancy on board computer with a self-tuning carburettor and ignition timing.

 

It constantly adjusts the fuel/air mix depending on your altitude, outside temperature, air filter cleanliness, whether the engine is hot or cold (means no choke lever I believe, just an on/off switch)

 

Sounds really good, but I think as far as chainsaws are concerned it's just another thing to go wrong.

I'm thinking of buying one as my next ground saw, and was thinking exactly the same.

Thats gonna break in six months then :( ££££££££ bloody microchips Kx
