climbed a horse chestnut on monday. 3 different nests all jackdaw eggs 11 in all. all of them were stone cold. so carried on.

Yes mate, upon re-reading that doesn't really say what I meant so no slur intended. What I meant was that I think before something has a chance to defend itself/escape, I would not be happy to harm it. Of course, when the woodies are fully fledged and adult, they bring their own demise upon themselves by tasting so good
