Has anyone tried a New Tribe Harness from the USA?

nope , have you got any pic's ?? and how does it conform to british standards ie bs kite marks etc ??

Yes, the guy who I worked for in Costa Rica had one. It looked and felt flimsy and had very little back support. Not something you'd want to work in all day and I doubt it would be ce marked over here.

Made for rec climbers as far as I have seen.

Climbed in one briefly. Well made and extremely comfortable. Good harness

I have been climbing on the Tengu for the last 2 years and it is the best saddle that I have climbed on. I love it and would get another in a heart beat. I am sure it wont meet your safety standards, but for us here in the US, I would recommend one to any climber.

 

My other saddles have only been Buckingham Master and Buckingham Glide 2. I have tried others including the Butterfly, TreeMagic, Blair Ultra Light, Blair SSA, a couple of older Weavers. I have to say that the Tengu is great!

The "work saddle" on the link looks fine to me.

 

Nice and uncomplicated, and good for "scampering" I should think.

 

The front attachment maillon (or "Galvanized Delta Screw") looks a bit pinchy though with more than 1 Krab through it, maybe upgrade it with a pear shaped maillon?

 

any word on whether its CE etc marked?
