I've never seen one used in a tree before, but maybe you could try one of those motion detector devices that shoots a blast of water spray.

You would probably need to run a 1/2" line of a sturdy water tube up the tree, and anchor the gadget. I don't think I'd use PVC, but would opt for a tube.

My brother in law has a big pine in his front garden and it is home to pigeons. He want the tree down because of this, i am trying to save the tree as it is quite impressive and it would be a shame to come down.

I climbed it the other day and stuck a load of cd's on strings to scare the birds {i thought the windows 98 one would do the job} but alas they are back.

any ideas anyone to keep them at bay and stop them shi*ing on his motors?

cheers

if you thin the tree a fair bit they will neither roost or nest as they dislike a breeze and like a bit of defence and security

and obviously remove nests when not in use

several yrs ago we had to thin the trees in the town centre piazza to stop pidgeons roosting and doing there stuff on the shoppers

though never seen as much gwana in a tree

It worked honest
