Small truck, 4x4, go anywhere, drive like a car, throw your crap in the back, tow 1200kgs, 35mpg, what more could you ask for in 1990?

Something with a tipper and a bit more capacity - or failing that, a Toyota Hilux 4x4 2.4 diesel.

Ok, heres my favourite of a few years back (pre arb work) you wont get many chips in it but you can get £50 worth of logs in it, and it will go anywhere!

Shame they stopped it and didnt build a diesel;

i have been driving at cabstar round this week with a mewp on the back . i really like it. smart little van and pretty nippy. only thing i dont like is the backwards gearbox. 1st is where 2nd should be and its a b!tch to get into reverse. but really like it.

i've used one of those a couple of times for trimming high hedges, they're way better than a tranny or ldv mewp.:icon14:

The purchase as usual will depend on budget. Minimal- LDV, money to waste- old transit, a bit of cash- cabstar, a decent amount- canter and money to throw away- a new transit. IMHO you buy the best you can, and save for what you want. :)
