Do you find the 30mm spacers affect the steering?

YES! I can now steer round reasonably sharp corners again! :thumbup1:

There is no adverse affect at all on the steering from the spacers. If you think about it, a 30mm spacer with a standard wheel has no different effect on handling (or wheelbearings etc) than a wheel with a +30mm offset, yet for some reason people who would happily put a +30mm offset wheel on will sneer at spacers. I've never understood this!

If you use decent quality ones (mine are from Rakeway Engineering, probably the best) you will have no problems.

....I wouldn't dream of making 'size-ist' remarks about your 'stoutness' Felix......hmmm, gross train weight..., tachographs....., heavy duty springs and shocks......

I've got some Insa turbo sahara tyres on my 130, and not been very impressed with their performance in mud - they tend to just fill up and then spin:thumbdown:

Anyone else got these?

You need to let them down a fair bit when off road, this will increase the size of their "foot print", but more importantly they will flex as they rotate causing the mud to fall out of the tread.

You will be amassed what a difference it will make.

Buy a 12V compressor to re-inflate the tyre once back on the road.

If I'm muddin I usually drop down to 12psi,if you have the big tires and your not deflating then your not getting the maximum grip and "footprint" your tire can offer.

Just don't over egg it and lose her off the rim.
