Hamas big reduction/pruning thread!

Recommended Posts

Don't forget, some of us don't always prescribe the work we do and can't change the advice of a head strong "superior" or go and undermine them with the client!

It's a sad state of affairs but spread the word! Lol.. I used to walk away 1 out of ten jobs happy when I was employed , the money's crap now but I'm happy its the other way around !

Thanks for the empathy:laugh1:

The pursuit of life is happiness and sadly that won't be achieved by doing what other people say when you don't agree with it.

Hi, some really nice reduction pics. Could use some advice. I've a friend with a pair of Fastagiata Hornbeams in her garden, she's unsure weither to reduce them or not. I'm happy to give it a go but worried they'll lose their shape too much, little help??

take the same length of each stem, branch and the shape will be EXACTLY the same, keep the cuts as small as possible and dont worry if you need to make an internodal cut on these it will NOT be an issue but will alter the fine tip look of this species.:001_smile:

So the re-growth wont look too odd?? really don't want to mess up the look of these trees, she's happy to leave them if it's gonna look wrong. Don't suppose you've any pictures of a prunned one with new growth??:001_unsure:
