Hamas big reduction/pruning thread!

Going off on a nurdy tangent here a bit Tony, but talking about mowing under trees.

 

I noticed while mowing yesterday that under six small trees the grass was three times longer and has got a head start over grass out in the open.

 

Thinking about it, rather than putting it down to leaf little around the tree, I summized it might be down to there being more Myochorzial Fungi around the roots than in the open areas therefore a more abundant supply of nitrogen ??

 

The new and vigorous grass growth seemed to be the exact shape of the root area in my minds eye of course :001_smile:

 

Am I thinking on the right lines ??

 

Yes dean, not Nitrogen though!:thumbup1:

The care taker came out this morning saying 'I wish a big branch would fall of & smash a car' why? 'Their a danger these things' Why? 'Look at them their huge' ok what do you want done? 'Hack some branches off mate! I don't care' OK then mush see you later..

 

Befor & after shots. He saw what came off & after a little chat:thumbup1:

"Lots of people want a smaller tree and as afar as I know a reduction is the only thing that will produce that. Because they dont want to pay the cost of removing and replanting"
